Why is this man smiling?

Coach Saban came to Starkville in '09 and asked the priest to have Mass for himself and the Catholics on the team before they "played" State. My buddy, Fr. John agreed to it and celebrated Mass in a catacomb (or a hotel meeting room, I forget). It was an evening game.
Now, today we play 'Bama. It's an evening game. I am sitting next to my phone waiting for a call. But nothing.

I can only assume Coach Saban doesn't feel he needs the extra prayers. Which has me concerned.

And I understand that Fr. John took up a special collection and did well. Just sayin'.

On the other hand, the Tide beat State. Beat them up. Like by 28 points. So. Maybe I won't answer the phone.
