Mary Immaculate, pray for us!

Today, we celebrate the Immaculate Conception. On this day, we recognize that Mary was conceived in her mother's womb without the stain of original sin - a singular grace from God, through the merits of Christ Jesus.

Under the title "Immaculate Conception," Mary is the patroness of the United States. So, today is an especially good day to pray for our country and for our men and women in uniform. Ask for Mary's prayers for our country - God knows we need them!

For us Catholics in the United States, it is a Holy Day of Obligation (or should I say opportunity!... YEAH!), so make sure and attend Holy Mass. At St. John's here in Oxford, Masses will be at 12:10pm and 5:30pm. Don't forget!

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
