Three tips for Catholic college students who use social media


1) Be virtuous and follow the Golden Rule online. Don't do, write, post or tweet anything online that may cause confusion about the sincerity of your faith or anything that could be seen as immoral, degrading to others, or hateful.

2) Embrace  and defend your Catholic faith online. Never be embarrassed to stand up for Christ and his Church online whenever needed, but always do so with charity and humility.

3) Don't post anything online that you might later regret. Always use the "grandmother test" before posting online or tweeting: ask yourself the question, "would I be embarrassed for my grandmother to see this?" If the answer is yes, don't do it.
