Don't Worry, Be Happy 16th Century Style

Today is the memorial of St. Teresa d'Avila. She was the first woman to be named "Doctor of the Church" although she wasn't formally educated her autobiography and subsequent writings contributed much to the theological richness of the Church.

The ecumenical group, Taize, wrote a meditative piece based on one of Teresa's most famous reflections. "Nada Te Turbe" ("Let nothing disturb you") is one of those pieces that would be great to listen to every morning. The words, in English, are:
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing distress you;
While all things fade away,
God is unchanging.
Patience overcomes everything.
With God in your heart,
Nothing is lacking.
God alone suffices.
And here's the video. Enjoy the bliss....
